Launch Day: What We Shipped and What We Learned
We went live with six products and sold out of two within the first weekend. Here's what launch day actually looked like behind the scenes.
Launch day was equal parts exciting and chaotic. We had six products ready — the Ghost Pen Holder, Succulent Planter, Rabbit Cable Holder, Jewellery Holder, and two custom phone stands. Everything was printed, inspected, and photographed.
The first order came in within three hours of going live. It was for the Ghost Pen Holder. We printed it fresh, packed it carefully, and shipped it the next morning. Seeing that first order notification was a moment we won't forget.
By the weekend, the Rabbit Cable Holder had sold out. We hadn't expected that one to move first — it was a lesson in letting customers tell you what they love instead of assuming.
We also learned that product photos matter enormously. The items photographed on a clean white surface converted far better than the ones shot in natural light on a wooden desk. Small details, big difference.
Launch wasn't perfect. One order had a shipping delay, and we had to reprint a piece that didn't pass our own quality check. But every issue taught us something, and we're grateful for the patience our early customers showed.
